Kota Tangerang – Pemerintah Kota (Pemkot) Tangerang menyebut pendidikan pada anak tidak hanya menjadi tanggung jawab guru di sekolah saja. Menurut Wali Kota, Arief R Wismansyah, orang tua di rumah juga memiliki peranan yang tidak kalah pentingnya.

Arief mengimbau agar Wali Murid turut peduli terhadap pendidikan anak di luar sekolah. Terlebih, dalam situasi pandemi ini, di mana hanya mengandalkan sekolah Dalam Jaringan (Daring) atau online dari rumah saja.

“Apalagi saat ini belum bisa dilakukan secara tatap muka, oleh karena itu perlu sinergisitas dari orang tua,” kata Arief dalam silaturahmi Tahun ajaran baru 2021-2022, Senin 12 Juli 2021.

Selain pendidikan sekolah, Wali Kota Dua periode itu juga berpesan kepada orang tua murid untuk terus memperhatikan dan mengedukasi seputar protokol kesehatan di kala virus semakin merajalela.

“Orang tua juga bantu untuk kontrol serta edukasi putera puterinya tentang pentingnya protokol kesehatan,” imbuhnya.

Arief berharap, dalam menjalankan pendidikan online ini, stakeholder di dunia pendidikan tidak mengurangi kualitasnya. “Terus berinovasi agar proses belajar mengajar bisa tetap berkualitas walaupun secara online,” harapnya.

Sementara itu, kepala Dinas Pendidikan Kota Tangerang Jamaluddin mengungkapkan, agenda sekolah pada tanggal 12 sampai 14 Juli 2021 hanya seputar MPLS (Masa Pengenalan Lingkungan Sekolah). Kegiatan itu berlaku untuk Sekolah Dasar (SD) dan Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) yang dilangsungkan melalui online.

“Dengan agenda pengenalan sekolah, pengenalan guru serta program sekolah,” Singkat Jamaluddin.
