Jakarta – Desakan negara-negara ketergantungan ekspor batu bara Indonesia tidak hanya dirasa keberatan oleh Jepang saja. Menyusul negeri Sakura, kini Korea Selatan (Korsel) pun melayangkan sikap keprihatinan atas kebijakan Pemerintah Indonesia tentang larangan ekspor sumber energi itu.
Pemerintah Korea Selatan meminta kepada Indonesia untuk mencabut larangan ekspor batu bara dan membuka kembali pengiriman batu bara ke negara penghasil ginseng itu.
Menteri Perdagangan Korsel Yeo Han-koo pun mengadakan pertemuan darurat mengenai permasalahan tersebut dengan Menteri Perdagangan RI, Muhammad Lutfi, secara virtual.
Yeo Han-Koo menyatakan keprihatinannya atas kebijakan pemerintah Indonesia ini dan meminta dengan sangat kuat agar Pemerintah Indonesia mau bekerja sama untuk mencabut larangan ekspor batu bara dan mengembalikan kegiatan seperti sedia kala.
Lutfi menyadari atas kekhawatiran Korea Selatan dan akan melakukan upaya untuk menyelesaikan persoalan tersebut dengan baik.
“Mendag Yeo menyampaikan keprihatinan pemerintah atas larangan ekspor batu bara Indonesia dan sangat meminta kerja sama pemerintah Indonesia agar pengiriman batu bara segera dimulai kembali,” tutur Kementerian Perdagangan Korea Selatan dikutip infomassa dari YONHAP NEWS Agency, Jumat 7 Januari 2020.
Diketahui Korea Selatan merupakan tujuan ekspor ke enam terbesar untuk batu bara Indonesia.
Dilansir katadata.co.id Pada periode Januari-November 2021, nilai ekspor batu bara ke Korea Selatan mencapai US$1,23 miliar, tumbuh 26,94% dibandingkan periode yang sama tahun 2020.
Volume ekspor batu bara Indonesia ke korea Selatan pada periode Januari-November 2021 mencapai 19,11 juta ton.
