Taluk Kuantan – Universitas Islam Kuantan Singingi (Uniks) Provinsi Riau, menggelar bakti sosial dengan membagikan paket sembako kepada masyarakat kurang mampu. Kegiatan tersebut akan berlangsung secara berkelanjutan dari Desa ke Desa.

Selain itu, Kegiatan Bakti Sosial tersebut juga menjadi ajang bagi kampus Uniks untuk mengenalkan Program Studi Perencanaan Wilayah dan Kota (PWK) dari Fakultas Teknik.

Melalui bakti sosial itu, Uniks dapat langsung mengenalkan seluruh dosen PWK kepada masyarakat sebagai bentuk pengabdian Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi.

Ketua Program Studi (Kaprodi) PWK, Ria Asmeri Jafra, mengatakan kegitan bakti sosial ini dilakukan di 2 Desa pada Kecamatan Benai yakni Desa Tebing Tinggi dan Desa Koto Simandolak.

“Bantuan yang di berikan berupa 1 pakat sembako yang terdiri dari Beras 5 kg, telur 1 Papan, minyak goreng 2 liter. Masing – masing desa mendapatkan 5 paket sembako,” kata Ria kepada infomassa, Rabu 27 Oktober 2021.

Ketua Himpunan Mahasiswa (Hima) PWK, Primus Tio Zerazona, mengatakan bahwa bakti sosial ini akan menjadi rutinitas bagi fakultas dan prodinya.

“Kegiatan ini insyaallah akan berlanjut setiap bulannya, bergilir di seluruh desa yang ada di Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi. Mudah-mudahan dengan Bakti sosial ini mampu meringankan beban masyarakat,” tutup Primus.

Kegiatan ini didampingi oleh Kepala desa Tebing Tinggi Adrisman dan Kepala desa koto Simandolak Fikri serta perangkat desa lainnya. Selain itu hadir juga sejumlah pengurus Hima PWK beserta sejumlah jajaran dosen kampus Uniks.
