Kota Tangerang – Pasar Induk buah dan sayur Jatiuwung, Kota Tangerang telah diresmikan. Kabarnya, tempat tersebut merupakan pusat perdagangan terlengkap dan terbesar di Provinsi Banten.

Pasar yang memliliki luas area 43.000 meter persegi itu telah diresmikan oleh Wali Kota Tangerang, Arief R. Wismansyah.

Arief berharap, beroperasinya pasar Jatiuwung dapat meningkatkan geliat ekonomi di Kota Tangerang.

“Selain itu diharapkan bisa berperan dalam menekan harga sejumlah komoditas pokok,” ujar Wali Kota dalam acara peresmian Pasar Induk Buah dan Sayur Jatiuwung, Jl. Gatot Subroto, Keroncong, Jatiuwung, Sabtu 31 Juli 2021.

Wali Kota menerangkan, dengan hadirnya pasar induk Jatiuwung membuat kemudahan untuk masyarakat dalam memenuhi kebutuhan pokok. Selain itu, kata Arief, jarak dan harga sangat terjangkau oleh penduduk sekitar.

“Ditambah dengan dukungan kapasitas dan area yang besar serta lokasi yang strategis. Jadi bisa menjadi opsi selain Pasar Induk Tanah Tinggi,” terang Arief.
