Kuansing – Praktisi hukum, Ahmad Fathony, menyorot miring maraknya Penambangan Emas Tanpa Izin (PETI) dari para cukong yang masih bebas beroperasi di beberapa kecamatan di Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi, Riau.
“Kegiatan PETI di Kuansing sulit dihentikan karena para cukong atau pemodal jarang yang berhasil ditangkap aparat keamanan. Operasi pemberantasan PETI di Kuansing selama ini lebih banyak hanya menemukan mesin dan rakit tambang emas. Sedangkan para pekerja dan pemodal usaha penambangan emas jarang tertangkap,” Kata Ahmad Fathony kepada Infomassa, Sabtu 23 Oktober 2021.
Ahmad Fathony meminta kepada Kapolres Kuansing untuk lebih mengintensifkan pemberantasan PETI ini dengan cara menyelidiki para pemodal atau cukong dan penadah emas hasil penambangan.
“Pemodal usaha tambang emas dan penadah ini perlu ditangkap untuk mengentikan kegiatan Penambangan Emas Ilegal ini,” Ucap Fathony.
Fathony menambahkan, pihaknya juga meminta kepada aparat kepolisian untuk menindaklanjuti dugaan operasi tambang emas ilegal lainnya yang berada di Kecamatan Kuantan Tengah. Menurutnya kemungkinan besar perusahaan tersebut milik Anto dan cabang-cabang penampungannya sudah tersebar di beberapa titik Kecamatan.
“Kami juga mendesak Kapolres Kuansing untuk menyelidiki Penampung atau pembeli emas ilegal di Kecamatan Kuantan Tengah, Kelurahan Simpang Tiga, Jao, tepatnya di belakang Toko Baju AWE yang masih terpantau beroperasi Oleh salah satu media online Riaukarya.com pada 21 Oktober 2021 lalu,” tutur Fathony.
Kemudian Fathony juga mengungkapkan penadah emas tidak hanya di Kecamatan Kuantan Tengah saja. Di Kecamatan Benai, kata dia, tepatnya di Desa Talontam Benai juga diduga ada praktek serupa, dan pemiliknya berinisial AO.
Menurut hukum yang berlaku, Penadah Emas jelas melanggar ketentuan pasal 161 Undang-Undang Nomor 3 Tahun 2020 Tentang Perubahan Undang-Undang Nomor 4 Tahun 2009.
“Kita berharap dengan ditangkapnya Para Pemodal (Cukong) dan Para Penadah Emas ini bisa meminimalisir dan menimbulkan efek jera kepada pelaku Penambangan Emas Tanpa Izin (PETI) di Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi ini,” Tutup Fathony.
