Taluk Kuantan – Pijar Melayu, kelompok kajian strategis dan wadah pergerakan pemuda Riau mengajak Pemerintah dan masyarakat mengenang jasa Buya Ma’rifat Mardjani dalam momentum Hari Lahir Riau.
Buya Ma’rifat Mardjani adalah anggota DPR RI hasil Pemilu pertama pada tahun 1955 dari daerah pemilihan Indragiri yang kini telah terbagi menjadi Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir, kabupaten Indragiri Hulu dan kabupaten Kuantan Singingi.
Buya Ma’rifat Mardjani lahir di desa Mudik Ulo, kecamatan Hulu Kuantan, kabupaten Kuantan Singingi, provinsi Riau pada tangal 18 Agustus 1917 dan wafat di Pekanbaru pada tanggal 29 Mei 1989 dalam usia 72 tahun.
“Sekarang makam beliau telah dipindahkan ke komplek Pondok Pesantren Darunnajah di desa Sei Alah, kecamatan Hulu Kuantan, kabupaten Kuantan Singingi, provinsi Riau oleh ahli waris beliau yaitu 10 orang putra-putri beliau,” kata Ketua Pijar Melayu, Rocky Ramadani, kepada Infomassa, Selasa 10 Agustus 2021.
Rocky berujar, dalam buku ‘Realisasi Provinsi Riau Jambi’ yang beliau tulis sendiri dan diterbitkan oleh pustaka Nyiur Melambai Jakarta tahun 1959 menyatakan bahwa hasil kongres rakyat Riau dan kongres rakyat Jambi meminta beliau untuk memperoleh otonomi daerah mereka masing-masing.
Dengan suara tegas dan lantang Buya Ma’rifat Mardjani menyampaikannya dalam sidang paripurna hingga keluarnya Undang-Undang Darurat No. 19/1957 tentang Pemecahan Provinsi Sumatra Tengah menjadi Provinsi Sumatra Barat, Provinsi Riau dan Provinsi Jambi (Lembaran Negara Tahun 1957 No. 75).
Kini Provinsi Riau dan Jambi telah tumbuh dan berkembang dengan segala dinamikanya. Provinsi Riau tumbuh menjadi daerah penopang ekonomi bangsa Indonesia.
“Pemuda Melayu Riau harus bangkit bersama sama memperjuangkan agar provinsi Riau bisa lebih maju dan sejahtera lagi sebagaimana cita cita Buya Ma’rifat Mardjani. Dirgahayu Provinsi Riau, Dirgahayu Provinsi Jambi. Semoga apa yang telah diraih dan dicita-citakan para pendahulu dapat bermanfaat bagi rakyat Riau semua tanpa terkecuali. Bangun, kembangkan dan teruskanlah cita-cita pendahulu kita,” siar Rocky.
“Selamat jalan buya. Mudah-mudahan amal ibadah buya diterima Allah swt. Dilapangkan dan diterangkan kubur buya dan diletakkan ditempat yang layak disisi Allah swt. Doa kami menyertai kepergian Buya kembali keharibaannya,” tutup Rocky.
