Jakarta – Joko Widodo (Jokowi) mengimbau agar Lembaga Dakwah Islam Indonesia (LDII) tidak menjadi organisasi yang tertutup dan eksklusif. Pernyataan itu disampaikan Presiden RI ke-7 saat menyampaikan pidatonya dalam pembukaan Musyawarah Nasional LDII yang ke IX secara virtual pada Rabu 7 April 2021 dari Istana Negara, Jakarta.

“Sikap Tertutup, eksklusif, sebagai kebalikan dari toleransi, harus dihindari, karena selain tidak sesuai dengan bhineka tunggal ika, juga akan memicu penolakan-penolakan dan menimbulkan pertentangan-pertentangan,” kata Jokowi.

Selanjutnya Jokowi mengajak LDII untuk bersikap secara kualitas dalam bingkai sosial-keagamaan di NKRI. Ia pun mengingatkan bahwa sifat tenggang rasa merupakan corong pemersatu bangsa.

“Kepada keluarga besar LDII, saya mengajak untuk selalu menyuarakan dan meningkatkan toleransi dalam kehidupan sosial dan keagamaan Indonesia. Toleransi merupakan bagian penting dari moderasi beragam dalam kerangka persatuan dan kesatuan,” ujar Jokowi.

Jokowi menggaris bawahi, jangan sampai sikap-sikap intoleran bisa leluasa memporakporandakan bangsa Indonesia.

“Sikap keras dalam beragama yang menimbulkan perpecahan dalam masyarakat tidak boleh ada di negeri kita yang kita cintai ini,” ujar Jokowi.
