Jakarta – Pengamat Politik Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia (LIPI), Wasisto Raharjo Jati mengatakan, adanya potensi intervensi atas kebijakan pemerintah Indonesia terkait larangan ekspor batu bara.
Kendati demikian, ia menilai ada bentuk tekanan terhadap negara mengingat Indonesia merupakan penyumbang ekspor batu bara terbesar di dunia.
“Saya pikir potensi munculnya lobi asing untuk meminta pemerintah menganulir larangan ekspor itu bisa terjadi. Terlebih lagi posisi Indonesia sebagai salah satu eksportir batu bara terbesar dunia serta ditambah kebutuhan negara-negara lain atas batubara, maka lobi itu bisa jadi terjadi berupa intervensi,” ujar Wasis kepada infomassa, Minggu, 9 Januari 2022.
Wasis mengungkapkan bahwa kebutuhan energi nasional harus menjadi yang utama. Kemudian lanjutnya, ia menyoroti bahwa Indonesia belum berinovasi kepada investasi energi terbarukan.
“Idealnya kedaulatan akan kebutuhan energi nasional itu harus tetap diprioritaskan. Namun demikian, adanya kebijakan larangan batu bara itu juga menunjukkan adanya keengganan pemerintah untuk berinvestasi pada energi terbarukan, sehingga pemerintah kelabakan ketika ada potensi krisis energi seperti sekarang karena terlalu tergantung pada bahan bakar fosil,” katanya.
Ia juga menyoroti dengan adanya larangan ekspor batu bara tentu berdampak pada kondisi ekonomi serta turunnya komitmen investasi di Indonesia.
“Selain halnya pendapatan yang turun, dampak ekonomi lainnya adalah turunnya komitmen investasi asing di Indonesia, selanjutnya tinggal bagaimana para pembuat kebijakan di negeri ini dalam berkomitmen,” tutup Wasisto Raharjo Jati.
