Taluk Kuantan – Dalam rangka Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) Mahasiswa Universitas Riau (UNRI) yang berada di Balek Kampung 2021, Kelurahan Pasar Baru Baserah, membuat tempat cuci tangan injak yang didistribusikan untuk salah satu sekolah.

Adapun kelebihan tempat cuci tangan injak ini yaitu penggunaannya yang praktis dengan bahan dan alat yang sederhana serta mudah didapatkan.

“Tempat cuci tangan karya mahasiswa UNRI dapat membantu kita mengurangi kontak dengan kran yang menjadi salah satu hal yang menyebabkan penularan kuman, bakteri maupun virus,” kata Ketua KKN Syafialdi, kepada infomassa, Rabu 29 September 2021.

“Sewaktu mencuci tangan kita selalu menyentuh kran, hal ini menyebabkan ketidak efektifan dalam proses pencucian tangan, seperti hal-nya di MTs Pasar Baru Baserah. Oleh karena itu, kami berinisiatif membuat tempat cuci tangan injak ini,” tambahnya.

Pembuatan tempat cuci tangan injak ini dilakukan 2 hari sebelum penyerahan, adapun bahan utama yang digunakan dalam pembuatan tempat cuci tangan injak ini berasal dari bahan bekas seperti kaleng cat, sisa-siswa kawat dan sebuah potongan kayu.

Penyerahan dilakukan pada tanggal 29 juli 2021 bersamaan dengan kegiatan sosialisasi NAPZA di MTs Pasar Baru Baserah tersebut. Adapun tanggapan dari pihak sekolah yaitu sangat mengapresiasi hasil kerja tempat cuci tangan injak ini.

Dengan adanya tempat cuci tangan injak ini diharapkan dapat membantu dalam kepraktisan siswa-siswi MTs dalam mencuci tangan.
